Deborah Market Square Week Ending June 18/06/2016

Good morning.
These are a few of the things that was shared this week in Deborah's Market Square. Please send a message to thegatheringofdeborahs@gmail.com to learn how to become a member of Deborah's Market Square.

1. How to Generate Business Ideas (Continued)
1.1. Adapt to evolving needs
The basic human needs (food, clothing and shelter) remain unchanged. Emotional needs tend to remain the same. However, the products and services required to satisfy such needs keep evolving.

One great benefit of social media is the huge potential for learning evolving needs. If you pay close attention as you scroll through your timeline and through the posts in the groups you belong to, you'll identify things people don't mind paying you for that may be a breeze for you.
I read someone's comment about how she can help brides to-be ask the groom to-be difficult questions that the lady may be too shy to ask for a fee. However way you feel about that line of business, the young entrepreneur has identified a need and is meeting the need the best way she believes she can.
1.2 Save people money
If you see any of the DMS posts I share with the Deborah Gathering account, I emphasize "good quality" and "AFFORDABLE".
Whether you like it or not, everyone likes to save money. These days, I shop where I'm paid to shop, lol. At my regular supermarket, I have a loyalty card where I earn redeemable points as I shop. I have paid for my ENTIRE grocery shopping about twice with my loyalty points. I am VERY loyal to that store. When I shop online with Jumia, either for myself or others, I earn a commission. I am VERY LOYAL to Jumia, lol.
People stay loyal to businesses that show interest in their customers' pockets.
Let me end this point with Cowbell and Glo strategies.
Before Cowbell broke into the market, you couldn't find Milk in small satchets. The others focused on waging price wars and talking about the quality of their milk. Cowbell changed the narrative by introducing smaller satchets that even school children could afford. Others eventually had to try to catch up.
Glo employed a similar strategy to break into the Telecoms market. MTN and Econet (now Airtel) were doing "the network with the greatest reach" wars (which wasn't altogether wrong). Glo came and introduced PER SECOND BILLING and we all know the rest of the story.

If you can find a way to save people money without hurting your bottom line, DO IT. Low cost is USUALLY what most people go for. It is a very basic fact....

2. If you're thinking of investing, you should see this - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mAwdDphjnSsRkylJCikWp1cZijyLZ0qBTjNkfykVyJ0/edit?usp=sharing

3. To be successful in any business, not
just business but life in general you
must consider the following first.
3.1. Putting God first.
3.2. Financial education.

The question now is how do I get
financial education? As such You can't
get this kind of knowledge in any university. Don't stop learning; Ideas rule the world!!!

4. HOW TO REMAIN POOR:
4.1. Never wake up early. Keep stretching and turning in bed until you get too hungry to continue dozing. If there are no bed bugs, why hurry to get up?
4.2. Never plan how to spend your money. Whenever you get money, start spending it right away and when it's finished, you try to count and recall how you spent it.
4.3. Don't think of saving until you have real big money. How can you save when you earn so little? Those telling you to save are not sympathetic to your burning needs.
4.4. Don't engage in activities usually reserved for the"uneducated".How can you, a graduate/learned engage in petty trade, network marketing or home-based production? That's for people who never went to school!
4.5. Don't think of starting a business until an angel comes from heaven and gives you capital. How do they expect you to invest before you get millions? Even though more than half the businesses in your town were started with little capital, you as a smart person can only start with millions.
4.6. Complain about everything except your own attitude and laziness. Blame the system, the government and the banks that refused to lend you money. They are all bad and do not want you to get rich.
4.7. Spend more than you earn. To achieve this, buy consumer products on credit and keep borrowing from friends and employers.
4.8. Compete in dressing. Make sure you're wearing the latest clothes. Intimidate your friends with your trendy fashions every day. Whenever your neighbour buys a new phone, you get one that is more expensive.
4.9. Get yourself a nice second hand car that costs more than three times your yearly salary.
4.10. Give your children everything they ask for since you're such a loving parent. They should not struggle for anything because you do not want them to suffer that way, they will grow up lazy and hence poor enough to ensure they can't help you at old age.
4.11. Be moving from house to house, office to office praying for people and seeing visions of demons that only prayer contractors like you can chase away....telling your family and friends that you are not going to do any dirty-menial work because all riches belong to your father.
